Writing is hard; it requires so much of oneself—dedication, perseverance, effort—and it's easy to lose sight of why we torture ourselves with the near-constant flow of rejection and struggle. We decided to make 2024 our "Year of Courage": growing the courage to write our hearts out, submit our work, and get published. 

 

With this year of courage comes the difficult task of understanding what we write. This could mean interpreting genre, navigating submissions calls, defining process, setting achievable goals... the list goes on.
